The Law of Attraction Explained

The Law of Attraction states that you can attract anything you choose to into your life by changing the vibrational frequencies of your thoughts. We will attract to us the experiences that reflect what we are vibrating (thinking, feeling, believing, being) in each moment. What you send out to the universe vibrationally is what you get back manifested in physical form. This law is always working, whether you choose to be aligned with it or not. If you focus on negativity, you will experience more negative occurrences in your life. If you focus on positivity, more positive experiences will flow into your life. If you constantly complain about being poor, you will only attract more poverty. In fact, if you obsess about anything that you don’t have, you will most likely continue not to have it. When working with the Law of Attraction, you can assist the process by thinking, speaking, and feeling as though whatever you want is already yours. Would you like better health? When you consciously make the effort to change the way you think, you give yourself the ability to transform your entire life.   1. Start off with changing the tone of your thoughts from negative to positive.                   For example: instead of thinking, “I'm going to have a hard time adjusting to this new environment,” think, “I may face some challenges in this new area, but I know I will soon find experiences that bring me peace, and happiness.”
  2. Refrain from engaging in negative inner dialogues. This brings down your vibration.
  3. Write down everything you are grateful for every day in a gratitude journal.
  4. Read positive quotes, they're quite plentiful online.
  5. Practice repeating positive affirmations.

Preliminary: Watching "The Secret" is a great start, and the documentary gives a simple overview of the concept.

Simple Steps:

  1. Ask. Figure out what it is that you want, and ask for it. Ask the universe, God, the creator, or whoever/whatever you believe in for what it is that you want. Ask with appreciation and love, knowing that you deserve whatever it is that you can dream of.
  2. Believe.  Believe with all of your being that you WILL get what you want. Use all of your senses and imagination to place yourself into the vision of you already having what you want. See yourself having the career of your dreams, living in your dream home, or having perfect health. Allow yourself to feel all of the emotions that you know will come with it.
  3. Receive. Receiving means feeling as if whatever you want is already yours, and letting go of any resisting feelings that may indicate otherwise. Believe that it is yours now, and live in the state of allowing. Be open to the endless possibilities and ways that it can come to you by not focusing on the "How". For example: You may be focusing on constantly checking your email for a new job opportunity, but you may have missed the universe's first attempt that came in the form of a blocked telephone call that you chose not to answer. Remember, anything is possible. Be ready for all possibilities. Receive. Recognize the greatness that you've already attracted into your life by living in a constant state of appreciation for everything that you have now. Then watch as the universe conspires in your favor every time.

Here's some tips:

  • Expect that there will be challenges ahead. The "bigger" the dream, the more challenges you will face to prepare you for what you want, but know that this is what is needed to take you to the next steps.
  • Act on inspiration. The universe will begin sending you different opportunities that are meant to bring you closer to your desires. In order to receive this inspiration, it helps to quiet your mind first and feel your intuition. Meditation helps to achieve this.
  • Be patient. Plant the seed by asking for what you want, keep watering that seed by taking inspired actions, and before you know it, your flower will have blossomed right before your eyes, sometimes without you even realizing it (because you'll be too busy expressing gratitude for everything you already have! ).
